  • 1) Where Can I buy Ecover?

    You can find our stockists here and our refill station/independent retailers list here.

    We believe in getting more planet-friendly soap into more homes and giving our consumers a choice as to where they would like to purchase our products. We’re very proud to be stocked by major retailers, by hundreds of independent retailers and zero waste stores, and in the health food trade across the UK, many of which have also set up Ecover refill stations to help us on our mission to eliminate single-use plastic.

  • 2) Where can I refill my Ecover products?

    At Ecover, we are on a mission to eliminate single-use plastic which is why we started a REFILLUTION®. Over 650 Ecover refill stations have now been set up by our retailers across the UK, with more being added every week. To find your nearest Ecover refill station, please visit ecover.com/store-locator. You can also refill your Ecover products at-home with refills available directly from us at Ecover-Direct, or any of the following retailers: Big Green Smile, Amazon, Ocado, Robert Dyas, Holland & Barrett, Ethical Superstore, Abel & Cole and more.

    We rely on our consumers and retailers to keep us up to date about Ecover refill stations as these are not set up by ourselves. If you come across one that isn’t on our list, we’d love to hear about them. If there isn’t one near you at the moment, do keep checking back on our store locator as we update this regularly. Should your local retailer(s) be interested in offering an Ecover refill service please ask them to contact us here – we’d be happy to give them all the information they need to get started.

    Refill stations are currently only available in the UK, Belgium, Holland, France, Germany and Switzerland.

  • 3) What's the difference between Bio and Non-Bio?

    The main difference between bio and non-bio is the presence of enzymes. Put simply, “non-bio” means no biological enzymes are present.

    We use natural, readily biodegradable enzymes in our Bio laundry products. Enzymes in washing and cleaning products are able to break down all kinds of difficult to remove stains such as blood, grass, egg, starch, jam, ice cream, pudding and many others, performing well even at low temperatures.

    However, our powerful new concentrated non-bio formula features plant-based, biodegradable active ingredients to help your clothes last longer. They fight against tough stains and help prevent whites from greying thanks to a new bio-based polymer called Texcare.

  • 4) Does Ecover test on animals?

    No. We do not test ingredients or finished products on animals, nor do we order third parties to conduct animal testing on our behalf.

    We remain firmly committed to our founding principles including no animal testing- that’s why all of our cleaners are approved as cruelty-free under the Leaping Bunny program. As part of our qualification, we’re regularly audited to ensure both Ecover and our suppliers comply with the comprehensive criteria of the Humane Cosmetics Standard.

    We believe in sharing the mission and aims of Cruelty Free International with as many people as we can and we will continue to reinvest our money back into planet-friendly packaging solutions, and do good for people and the planet in the best way we can.

  • 5) Are Ecover Laundry products suitable for baby cloths?

    Yes. Ecover is suitable even for sensitive baby skin, in fact many of our fans first discover Ecover when they have a little one.

    It’s also a perfect partner for pre-washing new clothes.

    If your baby’s skin is sensitive to fragrance, try the Ecover ZERO range which is fragrance free.
